Short summary[]
Immediately after A's epilogue, the Three Aces and the Wolkenritter are sent on a mission to retrieve Lost Logia from excavations on a remote world. Fending off an attack by Gadget Drones, they recover a Relic, but the second Lost Logia seemingly self-destructs before they can reach it.
Long summary[]
The chapter picks up immediately where A's epilogue has left off: Nanoha, Fate, and Hayate meet after school on April 15, 0071 (two weeks before the Coastal Airport 8 fire) to go on a regular mission for the Bureau. From Arthra, Chrono and Amy transport them to the Designated Observation World #162 (第162観測指定世界 Dai 162 Kansoku Shitei Sekai), where Lost Logia have been uncovered at two excavation sites. The Three Aces are secure one of them and escort it to Arthra, while Signum and Zafira do the same at the other site. The Aces make a stop at the Northern Observation Base of world #162, where they are introduced to Shario Finieno and Griffith Lowran stationed there, while Chrono and Amy contact Yuuno and Arf at the Infinity Library. Just as the Aces reach their excavation site, it is attacked by Gadget Drones. Hayate unisons with Reinforce Zwei, and the Aces commence counterattack and rescue two archeologists. The Drones are protected by AMF but Fate and Nanoha destroy them nonetheless, and Hayate and Rein encase the rest in ice. Fate recovers the Lost Logia, which she dubs a "Relic". Meanwhile, Signum and Zafira have reached the other excavation site, only to find it wiped out by a massive explosion. They request Vita and Shamal to assist them.
