Area Search (エリアサーチ Eria Sāchi) is a supportive spell used by Nanoha Takamachi to search or investigate the nearby area.
A number of mana spheres (similar to divine spheres used for shooting attack) are generated to search for the target.
Notable uses[]
- In its debut in Nanoha (ep.3), Nanoha lets it out like a net to scan the nearby area quickly, in order to find a Jewel Seed hidden in a giant tree.
- In ViVid (ch.97), Nanoha probably uses it in the dusty post-bombardment battlefield to look for Vivio Takamachi during their spar. The narrator refers to the spheres as "searchers".
Variations[]
Wide Area Search (ワイドエリアサーチ Waido Eria Sāchi) is the enhanced version of the spell, used by Nanoha in StrikerS (ep.23-25) to roam the Cradle and locate Quattro, so that she can defeat Quattro to end her control over Vivio. Initially it is called by Raising Heart as WAS only, its full spell name is revealed after the search is completed, i.e. when Quattro is found.
