Binding Shield (捕縛盾(バインディングシールド) Baindingu Shīrudo) is a shield-type defensive spell combining the elements of Chain Bind, cast by Nanoha Takamachi in ViVid. As commented by Subaru, it is Nanoha's sure-win pattern to block cross-range attacks.

In StrikerS manga special chapter After Days, Nanoha uses a combination of Round Shield at the front and likely Hoop Bind from the sides, known as "zero-distance bind", against Signum. It is likely where the idea of Binding Shield comes from.

Notable uses

• During the team training battle in ViVid (ch.14) / ViVid anime (ep.06), Binding Shield is cast when defending Einhard's knuckle. However, Einhard grasps to use Unchain Knuckle to unchain her arm from the bind.
• In ViVid (ch.93), Nanoha uses it to defend against and bind Fate T. Harlaown's Riot Blade during a warm-up spar with her.
