Cross Fire Shoot (クロスファイアシュート Kurosu Faia Shūto) is Teana Lanster's signature shooting spell, of which she is very proud.
Like many shooting spells, several magic spheres are produced, fired and then aimed or guided towards the target. Although quite destructive by itself, the spell can also be used as a "restriction of enemy's movements through a barrage". With the help of Cross Mirage and cartridge system, Teana can fire and control more than ten spheres simultaneously.
Notable uses[]
- Teana seems to practice it as early as StrikerS manga (ch.6), though it is not explicitly named at that point.
- In StrikerS (ep.1), Teana casts three aimed bolts to destroy three auto-spheres in her mage rank examination.
- During Teana's training in StrikerS, Nanoha Takamachi is able to reproduce this spell without even needing her Device. She also seems to use it against Signum in the After Days chapter of StrikerS manga.
Variations[]
Cross Fire in EXCEEDS
- Cross Fire (クロスファイア Kurosu Faia) is a bombardment variation used by Nanoha in EXCEEDS (ch.3), despite being chronologically earlier than when the original variant were first introduced in StrikerS. Nanoha can produce six magic spheres aimed at her target, while also launch an bombardment similar to Divine Buster as well. Nanoha first uses it against Zeo Mercury as the latter tries to test her source of magic.
Cross Fire Full Burst (presumed) in StrikerS opening theme
- Cross Fire Full Burst (クロスファイア・フルバースト Kurosu Faia Furu Bāsuto) is a more powerful variation used in ViVid (ch.14) / ViVid anime (ep.06). Teana can produce multiple spheres similar to a phalanx formation and shoot them altogether. It is also presumed to be the spell depicted in the second opening theme of StrikerS.
