Diabolic Emission (デアボリック・エミッション Deaborikku Emisshon) is a wide-area space attack spell originating from the Book of Darkness.
Effects[]
When used, Diabolic Emission creates a black sphere of energy which collapses in on itself then expands outwards rapidly towards the enemy. The typical stance for Diabolic Emission would be in the air with the hand casting the spell above the user's head. The spell's area of effect is immensely large, yet in both instances of its casting no immediate buildings showed signs of damage. Targets such as mages or combat cyborgs seem to take a considerable amount of damage when hit by the spell directly.
Notable uses[]
- Reinforce (as the will of the Book of Darkness) uses it in A's against Nanoha and Fate in an attempt to destroy them after Hayate had been tricked by the Liese twins into thinking the two are responsible for the deaths of the Wolkenritter.
- In StrikerS, Hayate casts it on Quattro and Dieci (the same event is depicted in a flashback in StrikerS manga), who have nearly killed the Riot Force 6 members. The aria used for this spell (as shown in StrikerS) is: "In an ancient land, sink to the darkness. Diabolic Emission."
Reinforce's Full Drive Burst in The Battle of Aces, Thunder of the Night Sky, has similar effects. Reinforce strikes her opponent with the compressed sphere, causing it to expand to surround both characters and remain at a fixed size. She then fires a bolt of white lightning at her opponent, causing the sphere to shatter.
