Floater Field (フローターフィールド Furōtā Fīrudo) is a force field spell to create anti-gravity footholds with the use of magic circles.[1]
Useful at places with bad footholds and for aerial work/operation, Floater Field is commonly seen at construction or excavation sites. By generating multiple fields (usually three), it can also be used as a cushion for falling.
Name[]
The Ancient Belkan and Modern Belkan equivalents of Floater Field have not been named in the series. They are covered in this article for simplicity, until there is other canonical source. Particularly, the Modern Belkan one may share the same name when developed, like the cases of certain defensive and supportive spells.
Notable uses[]
- In Nanoha (ep.4), Yuuno Scrya casts it to cushion Nanoha Takamachi, who is falling down from the sky after losing consciousness.
Notable uses of equivalent spells under other systems:
- Lutecia Alpine casts the Modern Belkan equivalent of Floater Field as foothold in the air a number of times in StrikerS, usually when she is standing by to help Jail Scaglietti's operations.
- In StrikerS (ep.19), Verossa Acous cast the Ancient Belkan equivalent of Floater Field as foothold in the air, when The Saint's Cradle is uprising from the underground.
- In StrikerS (ep.22), Signum and Reinforce Zwei (in Unison) cast the Ancient Belkan equivalent of Floater Field to cushion Signum's fall after assuming a strike from Zest Grangeitz. The magic color of the cushioning Belkan Triangles is light purple, being a mixture of Signum's purple and Rein's white.
