Frierenfesseln (凍てつく足枷(フリーレンフェッセルン) Furīren Fesserun) is Reinforce Zwei's cage-type capture spell that creates a ring of swirling water around the target, then suddenly freezes it into an icy prison.

Name

"Frierenfesseln" is German for "Freezing Fetters" (to Freeze+Fetters).

Notable uses

• It is first cast by Rein as a preset spell in StrikerS manga (ch.1) to capture a Gadget Drone for analysing.
• In StrikerS (ep.12), Rein casts it to freeze Lutecia Alpine and Agito in the underground.

Possible uses of the spell are noted as follows:

• In Reflection, Hayate Yagami casts a freezing spell to imprison Kyrie Florian from her feet to around her neck. However, it is yet to reveal whether this spell is Frierenfesseln.
• In Reflection, Rein casts a freezing spell around herself to freeze Kyrie's hand and Schwertkreuz's standby form. It may be an incomplete version of Frierenfesseln.
