Hoop Bind (フープバインド Fūpu Baindo) is a further development of the basic Midchildan binding spell Ring Bind. It generates multiple binding rings around the opponent.
Notable uses[]
- It is first cast in A's (ep.9) by one of the Masked Men (i.e. Liese twins) on Nanoha Takamachi, and then on Fate Testarossa, Shamal, Signum and Vita.
- In the scenario of The Gears of Destiny, the Liese twins apparently uses this binding spell on Kyrie Florian's hand and her Variant Zapper.[1]
- In StrikerS (ep.9), Nanoha casts it on Subaru Nakajima in a mock battle, before she knocks out Teana Lanster with Crossfire Shoot. Nanoha can bind the opponent without notice, if it is in a close distance.[2]
Possible uses of the spell are noted as follows:
- In The MOVIE 2nd A's, NachtWal has replaced the role of the Masked Man. Apparently it also casts Hoop Bind (or its Ancient Belkan equivalent) to capture Shamal, Signum, Fate, Nanoha and Vita.
