Magic color (魔導色 Madōshoku)^[1] refers to the default color of the magical energy aura (魔力光 maryoku hikari) released by a mage.^[2] It is most commonly seen in the magic circles, but also in spells, projectiles and barriers etc.

Known magic colors

Although some characters (e.g. Combat Cyborgs and Eclipse Drivers) do not use magic per se, their energy colors are also included in the list below.

Behind the scenes

The Movie 1st and 2nd Commentary Tracks introduce the idea of Magic Color Divination, or predicting a mage's personality from their magic color. It is acknowledged that these are not guaranteed, but have a high degree of accuracy and are really just something "done for fun". In the cases of mixed colors or shades, the primary color displays dominant traits and the secondary color shows lesser traits.
