The manga is a parodical spinoff of ''[[The Gears of Destiny]]'' video game, describing the "ordinary daily life" of the [[Material]]s, i.e. "{{nihongo|'''Material Girls.'''|マテリアル娘。|Materiaru Musume.}}" in the title, which contradicts with the story of the game (which can be seen as a re-write of history for 0065-0066 considering the erasing of memory). Nevertheless, [[magic]]-related settings detailed in the manga are still considered supplementary to the portable [[continuity]] (and primary continuity).
