Multi-Defenser (マルチディフェンサー Maruchi Difensā) is a defensive spell which generates a string of shields of different nature to protect the caster from incoming area attacks (e.g. wide area explosion) or high-power attacks (e.g. bombardments) etc. It consumes a large amount of mana and takes some time for the shield generation.[1]
Based on the above, it is classified as shield type and not to be confused with the barrier-type Defenser, despite similar spell names and the possibility to cast Defenser in a flat Midchildan Circle form like Protection's case.

In MOVIE 1st manga, the same spell cast by Nanoha Takamachi is referred to by Raising Heart as Multiple Defenser.[2]
