Proto Cannon (プロトカノン Puroto Kanon) is a battery-driven EM Equipment manufactured for the Administrative Bureau by Caledfwlch Company in the movie continuity, co-developed by Caledfwlch and the Bureau's Technical Division.
It is an portable cannon, mainly developed as an equipment for stopping vehicles and ships, despite functionable as an interpersonal weapon.

Its name probably comes from "prototype", a reference to the experimental stage of this first unit.

In the movie continuity, Proto Cannon appears primarily in Reflection and Detonation.
It is still under the test-tool stage, but Vita obtains a permit to take the testing unit out of the Bureau when Kyrie Florian assaults the Allston Sea theme park.

Proto Cannon does not make use of mana and is powered by an external battery unit (cartridge). It can fire electromagnetic bolts.
