Sphere Protection (スフィアプロテクション Sufia Purotekushon) is a spheric barrier-type defensive spell cast by Yuuno Scrya, covering every direction of the target(s). It is mainly cast to defend against area-of-effect attacks.

Notable uses

In A's (ep.5), Yuuno casts this spell to protect Nanoha Takamachi, Fate Testarossa and Alph against Thunder of Destruction of the Book of Darkness at a long distance away.

Variations

• Oval Protection is probably a variation of Sphere Protection with higher mobility.
• Protection Smash (プロテクションスマッシュ Purotekushon Sumasshu), one of Yuuno's long range attacks in The Gears of Destiny, is probably an offensive application of this spell (or Oval Protection). He surrounds himself in a hard, spherical barrier and then charges at his target with a flying tackle. With a successful strike, the force of the impact and the repulsion of the barrier send the target hurling out of control.
