The Name[]

Shouldn't the official name of the ship be Asura? Like everywhere I have seen it it's written as Asura. I thought Artha was just fansub thing, and if it is we should probably use the official name like with Alph/Arf, Rynith/Linith and Presea/Precia. CetvrtaDimenzija (talk) 14:29, October 10, 2017 (UTC)

The first thing you should do is to provide canonical/official whereabouts of "Asura". --Hades (talk) 05:00, October 11, 2017 (UTC)
Apparently (I don't have access to the source material myself), the spelling "Arthra" has been confirmed by the A's promotional materials, and since it hasn't been updated since, we stick to the most recent officially used way to write it. --Koveras Alvane (talk) 06:27, October 11, 2017 (UTC)
Yeah. I always thought Arthra was something fansubs invented. But it seems even though they say Asura, and write it as アースラ (AaSuRa) (basically everywhere), for some unfathomable reason to me they use Arthra in the official subs that came with the BD DVDs, which I think are the official ones.
Anyone know why this is? Because Arthra is nowhere near Asura that I might imagine it's just Japanese trying to spell an Anglophone word and failing badly. CetvrtaDimenzija (talk) 20:46, October 11, 2017 (UTC)
Probably the same reason they write "snipe" as "snip" and "accel", as in "acceleration", as "axel". --Koveras Alvane (talk) 08:05, October 12, 2017 (UTC)
