Temporal Force Field (封時結界 Fūji Kekkai, lit. Time-sealing Force Field) is an area-type force field spell to alter the flow of time in a localised area, in order to "mask" magical effects from public view.
Name[]
Presumably, Yuuno Scrya's Wide Area Force Field (広域結界 Kōiki Kekkai) in Nanoha (ep.6) and A's manga and unnamed spherical/dome-shaped force field in The MOVIE 1st are referring to the same spell.
In Reflection, Hayate Yagami also casts a spherical/dome-shaped force field named Sealing Force Field (封絶結界 Fūzetsu Kekkai) under the Ancient Belkan system for similar purpose. For simplicity, it is tentatively included in this article.
Notable uses[]
- Temporal Force Field is first cast by Yuuno on screen in Nanoha (ep.4). However, Yuuno mentions it is same as the "space" where he and Nanoha meet each other for the first time, indicating the spell is first seen in Nanoha (ep.1).
- In The MOVIE 1st adaptation, Yuuno also casts an unnamed spherical/dome-shaped force field, presumably the same spell, when the Jewel Seed monster looks for him at the Makihara Animal Hospital.
- In Reflection, Hayate casts Sealing Force Field on the highway to Allston Sea, when she is assaulted by Iris' Mobile Shells.
