Windenschaft[1] (ヴィンデルシャフト Vinderu Shafuto) is Schach Nouera's Armed Device, a pair of twin swords in the shape of tonfa.
Name[]
Although pronounced in Japanese "Vinderushafuto", which would likely transcribe into German as "Winderschaft" or "Windelschaft", the official written spelling of the Device's name is considered to be "Windenschaft",[1] similar to the case of "Stern" being written in Japanese as "Shuteru". It approximately means "Handle of Winds/Windblowing" in German.
Appearances[]
Windenschaft mainly appears alongside Sister Schach in StrikerS and StrikerS manga. In ViVid, it also makes cameo appearances in the flashback of Chantez Apinion, an apprentice of Sister Schach.
Forms[]
- In its Standby Form (待機フォルム Taiki Forumu),[2] it appears as two miniature plates (resembling the full-size blades), hanging on a ring.
- In its Deviceform (デバイスフォルム Debaisu Forumu, Ger. Device Form),[2] it appears as a pair of tonfa-shaped twin swords.
